Using a BETA website called Sprout Builder we’ve created some widgets for you to embed anywhere you internet!




Please remember this is a BETA product, so reply here or on the forums if you have issues with the widgets. (We know there are issues with the links just showing you the code to cut and paste on MySpace, we’re working on that.)

We’ve gotten a lot of cool press about our show lately, so we have some links we’d like to share with you, and some sites we want to give some love to for their support!

• The Los Angeles Times’ New Media Blog declares “The Guild” winner of overall “Best Tuby” from the YouTube 2007 video awards! Thanks LA Times! :)
• New Tee Vee has a SXSW interview posted with Felicia and Sandeep about the show here.
• Daisy Whitney’s “New Media Minute” has an interview with tips from online content producers, including Felicia’s tips on how to get your show seen.
• Shout out to Massively, the news site about MMO games that we at “The Guild” love, who posts about Episode 8 and our wins. They’ve been a great supporter of the show, along with Veronica Belmont at Mahalo Daily, and the Joss Whedon fans at whedonesque.com so check their sites out!
• Also Alert Nerd has a really great blog entry on the show. Sarah’s comments are really lovely, especially the ones about the character “Codex”. They really pinpoint why Felicia wrote the series in the first place. Girl nerds as lead characters FTW! Thanks Sarah!

The Guild Wins the 2007 Best Series Award for Yahoo!

We are so excited to tell you that, thanks to your votes, The Guild has won the Yahoo 2007 Best Web Series Award! Along with winning the YouTube Best Series Award for 2007 on Thursday, and our winning the SXSW/On Networks Web Series award a few weeks ago, this has been a whirlwind month for our show!

We want to thank everyone, especially our donors for making it possible for us to film and make our episodes. Without you, there would be no show to garner attention and make people laugh.

We will be releasing episodes 9 and 10 on an accelerated schedule to ramp up to the end of season 1. Make sure to stay tuned. And again, thank you!

Well, it’s been quite a week here at The Guild. First SXSW/On Networks award, then the Yahoo series award (Thank you for your votes, we look to be ahead there) and NOW….

We’re so proud to announce that tonight “The Guild” took home the On Networks/SXSW Greenlight Award for best web series! Check it out here. In attendance at SXSW were Guild members Felicia Day, Kim Evey, Jane Selle Morgan, Greg Benson, Sandeep Parikh and Leah Mann! (Jane wasn’t in this picture, but Felicia’s brother Ryon was, hah)

When Felicia accepted the award she dedicated it to all the Guild donors, because without each and every one of you, there would be no show at all. We look forward to making many new episodes, including shooting episode 10 on Friday!

We have one other favor to ask. Today, we were informed that the show is one of five finalists for the Yahoo series award! What a week! We noticed that the Guild is lagging in votes, so please, we would appreciate your vote. It seems there’s one per IP address. The prize is TBD, but every bit of publicity helps because we are an indie production so please take a second and vote, it would mean a lot!

“The Guild” is a finalist for the SXSW/On Network Greenlight Series Award!

We are excited to announce that our little indie series, The Guild, is one of 5 finalists for the series prize for the Greenlight Awards, sponsored by SXSW and On Networks! We are eligible for a $10,000 dollar prize to shoot more episodes with, and the contest will be judged by lots of fancy people, including Rick Linklater! The winner will be announced March 9th at the SXSW Interactive festival.

We want to thank all our loyal viewers and donors for making this possible. It’s a real treat to be recognized, but we wouldn’t be here without you guys. :)
