SXSW Interviews with “The Guild” and…remember to Vote!

Remember to vote in the Yahoo Video awards! Break a Leg is creeping up on us, so if you haven’t voted, please just cast your vote, it’s an easy click! I suspect there’s a stealth campaign to steal the win, so don’t let that happen!
And most importantly, vote in the YouTube awards! You can vote EVERY DAY, 1 X per day, until the 19th, and our competition there is going to be very hard to beat. We’re in category with a big, glossy, corporate funded series, so help the little guy win…that’s us! :)

Well, it’s been quite a week here at The Guild. First SXSW/On Networks award, then the Yahoo series award (Thank you for your votes, we look to be ahead there) and NOW….

We are excited to announce that our little indie series, The Guild, is one of 5 finalists for the series prize for the Greenlight Awards, sponsored by SXSW and On Networks! We are eligible for a $10,000 dollar prize to shoot more episodes with, and the contest will be judged by lots of fancy people, including Rick Linklater! The winner will be announced March 9th at the SXSW Interactive festival.
We want to thank all our loyal viewers and donors for making this possible. It’s a real treat to be recognized, but we wouldn’t be here without you guys. :)

We are lucky here at The Guild to have so many generous donors supporting our show, and it’s time we dedicated a whole page to them! On our toolbar, you can click on the “Donor” page and see each and every one of our show’s supporters. Thanks again to our webmaster, Ryan Carter, for helping out with the transition.

New Year Update

Greetings Guild fans! Many of you have waited patiently for a new episode, and we are pleased to announce that we will have Episode 6 posted later this week! In addition, number 7 is in the can and being edited.
We were able to film quickly after the New Year because of generous fan donations. In fact, we came in under budget for the last shoot and are already on our way towards episodes 8 and 9!
As a big Thank You to our contributors, we have posted episodes 1-5 on iTunes for you to download onto your iPod or other nifty mobile device! Just search “The Guild” or “Watch the Guild”. The download is free. Of course, if you haven’t contributed our Paypal button is always open, :) and if you download, a brief review on iTunes would be most appreciated as well.
At any rate, please enjoy The Guild wherever you go, and be sure to spread the word about us on iTunes!

We are so excited that The Guild Episode 1: Wake-Up Call is now at 985,000 views, but since we’re soooo close want to reach the million mark! We can do it easily with the help of fans like you! So go, watch it uno mas, even on mute if you have to, and help us reach the fantastic milestone of 1,000,000 served!

I’m happy to announce that, as of yesterday, the entire budgets of episodes 4 and 5, which we shot last weekend, were paid in entirety by donations by fans!  Please check out the list of “Honorary Guild Members” on the credits page to see the long list of generous people who made it possible for us to shoot more episodes. Thank you each and every one of you. Without you, and some help from Jinx T-Shirts, the cameras would have…not filmed. :)

Wow, this place looks great! :)
It’s been an exciting month for The Guild! Not only do we have a fabulous new website thanks to Ryan Carter (Shameless plug for his link at the bottom of the site :) ), we shot two more episodes this past weekend!   There had been a long delay in shooting because our cast/crew were off doing more “fancy” (read “paid”) jobs, but we were determined to get things back on track. And we did!
But the only reason we were able to shoot more episodes was because of our generous fans who sent us all sorts of donations to keep the show going. To each and every one of them, we Thank You.  The list of donors has been moved to the “Credits” page, because every person on there is an integral part of our series now. Please take a peek at the long list of fans who helped keep the funny going!
When we started planning this series, we never could have hoped to have our first episode featured on the front page of YouTube, get over 850,000 hits and have over 18,000 subscribers, it’s a dream come true!  We hope everyone enjoys the gag reel and it helps tide everyone over until episode 4 is release in the next few weeks. We’re busting our butts to get it out ASAP!
Oh, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel. Make your mom do it too!
