I'm not sure if this is at all important to anyone else, but for me (especially as a donor) I would hate to see The Guild get absorbed by a big media producer/distributor. One of the things that makes The Guild so special is that it is independent and internet-based. (Of course there are plenty of other things that make it awesome too!) I'd hate to see that go away.

I'm probably just being silly and paranoid. ;-) But I thought I might as well mention it.

To ease some possible fears of what might happen if they get funded…

The Guild hasn't found a production partner because they haven't accepted an offer yet… I am sure they have gotten many offers by now… They are looking for “the right one” and will not just settle with any corporation shelling out the moola.

From what I've gathered, these folks are in it for the craft (money is just the icing lol) Felicia will not compromise her writing. Also, its her/their work… they should be well compensated for it and not have to work under the conditions they seem to work under… only able to film when they had enough money to cover the cost of filming and crafts (I hear craft services was good in the beginning lol) (I lie heh) and not even think about paying themselves for the work they put in.

It took them forever to get these shows out the door… they want to film a bunch at a time and have them flowing better… I don't know where the show will lead in season 2, but at least they can have a steady release schedule and they can focus on other important aspects of the business as well as their day jobs (of more acting lol).

Finally, Gorgeous Tiny Chicken Machine Show was picked up… I've watched them… they come out every Friday now… oooh today! I love Fridays… back on point, the quality of their shows has remained high and possibly even gotten better (unpossible!) so this should be good when it happens with this show. Also, it will keep Bladezz off the Guild bank if his income comes from something else.

With that said, Felicia and crew will not let the “touch” go away, as offers come in, they are considered and if its not best for the fans and show, they consider another.

Thank you, we really appreciate your opinion on this! We are weighing all options, the challenge is being able to do everything with only 2 people, who have other jobs, so it's hard to be able to output episodes as regularly as we would like, and to upkeep the website, and answering fan mail, etc. If we do another season on viewer donations, we will not shoot until we can shoot the whole season at once, and have a really frequent output for the whole season, so people don't forget what happened last time!

And if we partner with someone, it will be because they can provide a lot of things we can't do on our own, and the show will be able to grow beyond what we can do, not just because we can make money quick. We've already gotten plenty of offers in that area and have turned them down :)

I really love watching The Guild. The fact that it is an independent production makes it even better. I am a firm supporter of independent film makers and productions companies. Thank you not only giving us such a wonderful show but for holding out for the right partnership to bring forward more episodes. If there is anything we can do to support The Guild, financially or through donating our time and talents, please do not hesitate to take advantage!

Hi, firstly I came across the show yest and I just love it. :) Making all my friends watch it now. I kinda agree with the 'staying independent argument' - I know what you mean by a bigger organisation maing things a bit easier etc etc. But in my defense, being incorporated into an org can result in regions outside US not having access to webisodes (as is the problem with Hulu, sniff!) until a passing postal wagon drops by a dvd boxset to the nearest video store in our country :). That's the cool thing about keeping the websseries on something online and internationally available like Youtube (hulu is pretty limited, I can't watch Dr Horrible anymore - *sob*).To support the webseries we are also gonna buy the dvd boxset ( I saw a link somewhere on the site) and am sure as it gets more coverage, more fans will buy it. :)
