I’ve just about come to the conclusion that I don’t have a favorite artist or band. Love 80’s music and 90’s alt. I used to think I had good taste in music until i created a projectplaylist of my ‘all time favorite songs’, now i think i may be schizophrenic.

I guess if you’re talking about artists you might recognise, I’ve been a fan of the band Oingo Boingo for a long time, and I used to think of myself as a diehard Billy Joel fan but not as much anymore. In more recent years I’ve been partial to lesser known but very talented artists near where I live, and prefer to support local talent rather than focus on what radio stations and large corporate recording companies tell me I should enjoy. Sometimes ‘local talent’ becomes ‘talent that used to be local’ which is awesome. Also with the Internet, ‘local’ kind of expands out to ‘great talent that needs support cuz the RIAA sucks.’
My favorite band of the moment is Rocket Girl. I’ve been a fan of Annie Benjamin for many years and that’s her latest project, and Amy Samuels is just hot. I’m also a fan of Kristy Kruger, Courtney Fairchild, and Annette Conlon of Eden Automatic just to name a few off the top of my head.
I’m a little partial to babes with guitars. It’s a weakness. =)
Oh! And there’s also YsaBellaBrave and Ana Free, both of whom you can see at YouTube. Tiffany Anne Shea too..

All great bands. I’m also into a lot of classic rock. David Bowie and Bob Dylan are a couple of my favourites. Right now I can’t stop listening to Radiohead.
