Nooo! I was a total addict, I can’t go back, my life would be sucked from me! I substitute Wii and Hellgate and The Witcher lately for my gaming fix.

So basically you’d rather play a bunch of different games and spend even more money to support a console addiction rather than a flat fee of one good game that doesn’t end?
It sounds like you were a pretty hardcore player, so I know deep down the addiction is still there, you just haven’t had your fix. I’ve quit this stupid game like 500 times, but I quickly learned; once a WoW player, always a WoW player. XD
Did I mention I could probably get you a Blood Elf (Chicks like those, right?) and you wouldn’t even have to level it? You’re running out of excuses.

It’s probably not about the money, it’s more or less the amount of time spent on the game. After BC came out I was on 10-15 hours a day, leveling 2 characters to 70..basically having no social life. Playing other games are as addicting/time consuming. Other games end, WoW doesn’t.
I quit for a while, but as Codex said before, she missed guild-mates, as did I. Your guild is like a substitute-family when you play as much as some people do. It’s a lot of work to stop playing WoW.

That’s true to an extent, but they’ve made WoW a lot more user friendly to where even your part-time players can still get epics and see end-game content. I go to school full time and work, but find time to kill a huge dragon and still make it home for dinner.
Leveling sucks - everyone knows that. But once it’s over, you’re good until the next expansion. Not to mention I’m offering her an account just to dork around on without all that hastle. :P

Latest patch curved the leveling scheme. Level 20 - 60 require less experience and the quests give more experience. Not to mention the items in old world dungeons got revamped. +Damage gear in low level instances FTW.

Just give in. I tried to quit it after leveling to 70 on one server, and talked back into leveling another 70 on a different server. The key is moderation and today’s casual guilds make raiding very easy.

Listen to Cyrix. He’s a smart guy. (Especially since the focus is 10 and 25 man raids now, instead of 40…blah.)
Just go and dust off your Collector’s Edition of Burning Crusade,
because I know you’ve got it, install it, and re-join the online
sensation that is WoW. Consider it market research for future
episodes. ;)

Codex, don’t go back to playing WoW. It is addicting and WILL steal your life from under you. It kills your soul. The ONLY good thing about WoW is that it’s an anti-drug. Yes I play … But that doesn’t mean you should! \If your able to get out of the twisting nether vortex, you can stay out of it and run away and tell someone of WoW’s evils! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! So cold … so very cold … I need World of Warcraft! NO! Must stay away … Need WoW … don’t need WoW … Need WoW … don’t need WoW …

hehe this thread is awesome
when submitting posts why cant they give more complicated maths like integrating 1/sin(x) dx
Mmorpgs are awesome as long as u can control how long u play on it, being honest im play lots of rpgs myself but never had the problem with addiction. My academic life balances it out :P. (CABAL is good for stress-relief)
