Been a while since I posted.
All the award-winning was awesome to see, and the resultant promo opportunities, collaborations, and now live improv shows are bonus (though I don't live near LA). I'm really happy to see your careers cruising right along, really…! But I've got to do some nagging here:
When will we start seeing more The Guild episodes?
I'm getting this sinking feeling that you'll all be moving on to bigger, better(?), and different things without returning to what grabbed my attention in the first place: The Guild. Any truth to that suspicion? If so, then fine, I'm really not trying to hate on success or anything. I'm always interested in seeing what you cats come up with next…
I'm just hoping to see more of The Guild. :)
And Sandeep, what happened, or is happening with The Legend of Neil!?
edit: sorry if there are all kinds of answers to these Q's on your personal blogs. I didn't do much checking beyond watchtheguild.com and some brief browsing at feliciaday.net…

Ms. Day had stated that the final episode of this season would be out hopefully by the 10th, I believe, and that they hope they can start cranking out episodes for season 2 at a faster pace, thanks to the success of the show.

Excellent!
Thanks for the heads-up. I guess I'm just “out of the loop”. Seeing so many changes happen, yet no new episodes for a while got me wondering… But I should have known The Guild would re-group to take on Zaboo's Mom sooner or later. :)

With the recent success of the show, the impatience between episodes has reached a fevered height :) We have always released 1x per month, and we are on the same schedule for the finale, around the 15th of May. It seems like a longer wait because we are wrapping up the storyline, and there are so many more people who are asking to watch more of the show, which is great but frustrating for us as most of the crew works for free, and asking them to put a free project ahead of their paid ones isn't really possible.
Season 2 Plans: we are talking with a few parties about funding the episodes so we can actually come out with episodes every 2 weeks or even week (gasp!) These wheels are taking forever to turn, believe me it doesn't make me happy as this consumes my life and I've yet to see one dollar from it myself :), but it will happen, because we definitely don't want to have such a long release schedule in the future. It doesn't make the fans happy and it doesn't make us happy to drag it out so long.
We are aiming to have season 2 out by the end of the summer, be shooting in July at the latest. That's our ideal world! Thanks for asking, and I hope this clarifies your concerns.

Yes!
Thank you “Codex” for taking the time to write such a comprehensive response! I would have settled for, “The Guild lives. Be patient.”, but that detailed production update you've posted has made me quite content to wait for more.
Your genuine appreciation for and responsiveness to your fans (even the impatient ones like me!) is the reason I jump when you ask us to cast votes, click links, check out other shows, etc… requests that I typically receive via RSS feed (google reader) btw.
Somehow I sense an element of season 2's story line involving The Guild members getting time-consuming RL jobs and stressing over deadlines and customers' unreasonable demands… :P

They removed the PayPal button because they had enough money collected to go through with the episodes for season 1 and no, you cant solve everything with money :P
