        I like feeling ad for codex too, not just laughing at hijinks and predicaments. It’s like listening to the blues. It’s sad music, but still lovely and soulful.

        Give it space. FD has to setup the rest of the arc. I wonder if heartbreak is enough to snap Cyd into being Cyd. Fawkes can’t see her. He only sees Codex as a piece but he only sees a 2D cartoon world anyway and he’s Bugs Bunny. Maybe Zaboo sees her but only through terror of his Mom. Bladez sees her. He doesn’t know what he sees past her tits but he sees her. This is a transition season. FD has a goal here. My worry is she will fall apart trying to do all the things she has to do. In video background, the dancer joked about a lawyer. FD talked testicles and she looks bloody tense. Not to sound like an erotomaniac, but she’s flying in the thin air on fumes.

        I’d be careful being overly critical of an early episode in the season. A sustainable show is more than a string of gags, and folks on “The Guild” are doing great work.

        She’s not. She was drunk and taken advantage of. A hoebagdoes it on purpose; chooses it. And mmore often then never before and isn’t gui;ly about it. Unless there is a malespecific term for it I don’t know, An example of hoebag to me would be Charlie Harper from the first several seasons of two and a half men; someone who goes out often for meaningless one-night stands. Syd at least was hoping there was meaning to her budding new relationship.

        Fawkes deserves to be cursed by gypsies.

    FINALLY it’s on the website lol. I was waiting up till like 1:30 in the morning last night for it to come up..then i remembered i had xbox live and checked and it was up at least on there….It was a grreat episode as usual( totally already posted reviewness on the game on video because i have to much time on my hands). It keeps getting better and better and that painting is one of the most disturbingly awesome things i’ve seen all year

      I agree. Youtube let’s 15 minutes now for videos. Is it only budgeting/staff size issues that keep the episodes short, or is possible, perhaps for season five to have the episodes double in length? I’d really like to see more of the story in one sitting.

      I think you’re right that “we” all knew. It’s kind of like dramatic irony in that viewers are aware that the future of the relationship is doomed, but Codex is so sweet and insecure so she doesn’t see it. Viewers are watching her walk into a tragic fate. It’s good suspense. Codex in denial is so heartbreaking and so funny.

        Let’s be accurate: Bladezz deleted her highest level character. She could’ve just power leveled with the anarc’s.

          yeh or just petitioned to have the character reinstated. Its against the law to delete someones digital or online property and is even considered domestic violence in couples. Any developer would have to restore the characters.

            Its true in Japan. One guy charged his wife with the murder of his avatar. lol I suppose copyright laws might be used to protect digital property in the US.

            and actually hes right you can be charged for it, the story raynmaker is talking about was the guys wife killed his maple story avatar and she was charged with murder for it because it represented him since it was his avatar which we all know an avatar is the composite fantasy based picture of how we would see ourselves if it was really us.

            it showed well in the finale when codex talks to her avatar, or when they were first seeing vork at cheesy beards, and of course bladezz well his class and how he really is is self explanatory

    It’s really impressive how you guys pack character and plot development into just six or so minutes. Every one of the main characters gets a chance to shine, even if only briefly, and the story is moved forward one step.

        Actually, the ‘pirate stew’ song, titled ‘Putrid and Disgusting’ is from the Crimson Pirates’ third CD, also titled ‘Putrid and Disgusting’. And the cabin boy in that song doesn’t meet his fate because he got people mad at him, but because there was a food shortage at sea and cabin boys are the lowest rung on the ladder.

        Speaking of pirates, I’m really liking the continuation of Bladezz’s subplot of working at Cheezybeard’s.

        Well, I think we ALL saw Fawkes’ rejection of Codex coming. As other commenters have noted, she was basically fooling herself into thinking Fawkes might not be a jerk after all. Now she’ll have to deal with that. Looking forward to seeing where she goes from there.

    i noticed something odd tho…. wasn’t Fawkes just in the game and ignored Codex? so when Codex calls him, why is he writing in a journal? It wasn’t like she waiting an hour to call him, she walked out of the room and called him.

    About that painting, looking at it you can see the head and the body on Fawkes just is not right. This was obviously a deliberate attempt by Zaboo to sabotage any possible relationship between Codex and Fawkes by giving Fawkes a body that is inferior to his real body.

      In the episode Zaboo says that his friend made the picture. Also, it’s a painting, it’s never going to look exactaly like the person. I think the painting was pretty damn good.

    How ironic that Syd views herself as a hoebag and continues to give Fawkes the benefit of the doubt after he repeatedly gives her reasons to know he’s really the jerk she thought he was all along- going against her own injunction. This poor girl has no self esteem.
    Also, I get the notion that Janette will setup Bladezz for an epic fail and get him fired from Cheezybeard’s which will lead to him having more gametime to team up with Vork so they can get the Guild Hall they want. Afterall, who wants a Pink Palace as a GH?
    lol…Zaboo’s commissioned painting is classic comedy. I almost literally ROFL’d.

I am now plotting furiously of ways Cyd can get back at Fawkes slyly, possibly with a nice dose of in your face “sorry, you weren’t good enough for a second night with me, loser” mind games. Too bad she’s too neurotic to play it off right, Tink would have done it masterfully! lol

    I’m sure that MS and Bing have given you a great promotion deal — but their bandwidth sucks, I have to try again and again to get a full episode to load, and I end up viewing it in tiny pieces. I never had this problem with your episodes on YouTube.

    I dearly love The Guild.Although it is 3 years old, I just discovered it 2 months ago. Luckily Netflix has first 3 seasons available for streaming, so I could catch up. Felicia Day, musician,writer,actress,singer, is there nothing she can’t do?The rest of the regular cast is very good,although I’ll admit I can’t stand the Anarchists,but I guess they’re supposed to be unlikable.
    Haven’t seen the wonderful Riley yet this season,I hope she isn’t off the show because Zaboo broke up with her.I don’t think I’ve been this fond of a show since Twin Peaks.Codex,Vork,Zaboo,Bladezz,Clara,Tink and Riley, I love you guys.

    i use to love the guild but i find now its turning into so melodrama show and would with they would go back to the old stuff still love the cast and the show though!
