Great episode!!

Not my favorite episode, but still good. Kinda feel bad for Zaboo’s mom…which is odd because she’s a total psycho…also couldn’t stop laughing at how fast vork got dressed when she said she was paying for dinner

ok, what Vork did was hilarious, again…. He’s really on the ball this season, and I love how he was able to be ready for dinner in less then 5 seconds.

God, I love FOX, I’m just kind of wretched that he’s all over Codex just to cause a dispute in the guild.

Vork and Zaboo’s mom are probably each other’s last chance for love in this lifetime. It’s hard to imagine either one of them getting a date unless it were with each other, and that only in a sitcom.

I love this show for many reasons, but they are all gone this season. I now stand by my previous comment (from Episode 4) even more so.
I’m only going to point out that we’re in the middle of the season; and how awkward was everyone’s acting.

Also, I hate to deliver such a cheap shot to a show and cast I like so much, but I love the Guild too much to not voice my criticism/reaction.
Meyer, is that you writing this? Don’t pretend it’s not you! I recognize your magical typewriter’s cliches and absence of personalities. The clumsy girl in-love with the bias guy from the evil guild? And the best friend who’s in-love with the girl-center-of-attention, but she doesn’t love him back? Sorry Meyer- not this time.

This show used to be about real life references to gaming; and that’s why I’d say that I still love it.

Yay! An episode where Fawkes doesn’t look like a kid. It seems he CAN wear pants. Wonder if he can get through the evening without quoting someone.

I’m a huge fan of the series, and this episode made me laugh too hard for listening on headphones (read: awkward stares from others). Wiggly is particularly great in this one, and I too was delighted to see Fawkes show up. Looking forward to the next episode!

It seems they’re trying to introduce the other characters as more than just supporting roles, ie. Zaboo’s mom hosting dinner, Wiggley briefing Clara and Tink on a business strategy, Fawkes showing up for dinner. That, I didn’t see coming. I was just as shocked as Codex. But very funny.

OMG DAMN YOU THAT ENDING WAS SO CLIFF HANGING!

Still loving the episodes, but I see what Queo_Lita’s saying. The focus of gaming has really gone by the wayside so far, and we’re seeing a lot more generic interpersonal drama. That said, I’m alright with that. There needs to be a departure in order to experience a triumphant return. I think we’ll see a lot more great gamer content soon.

I enjoyed this episode as well. Now as for the gaming falling by the wayside remember season 3 was gaming heavy with the Axis of Anarchy trying to destroy the guild both online and offline along with Tink leaving only to return. There is gaming involved except it isn’t online and that is the dance between Fawkes and Codex. The gaming itself wasn’t why I watched this show it is the characters and season 4 shows this.

Codex is so cute when she screamed! I loved the end when Fawkes appeared, evil Wes, very evil!

Bladez and Codex make an interesting couple. Too bad the age difference just makes it creepy.

Fawkes turning up was hilarious. He is turning into Single White Male for sure. It won’t be long before Codex regrets ever meeting him.

As far as the show’s direction, I think it is working well. The Knights of Good are growing up.

I was wondering, does anyone know if that is Brett Sheridan (Mr Wiggly) playing a Car Salesman in one of those Mike Rowe Ford commercials? If so, doesn’t that make him the one getting the most face time on TV.

On another note, I know it helps pay the bills etc, but it is a little sad to see the creeping in of product placement and ad’s.

Getting Zaboo gainfully employed is probably his mom’s primary objective. Vork could be instrumental toward that end. And Zaboo’s mom could support Vork’s gaming habit. Vork is already something of a surrogate father for Zaboo, so the transition to stepfather wouldn’t be that big a leap.

Zaboo’s dad was presumably not Indian, and Vork is cosmopolitan, so it’s a conceivable match. Vork could serenade Zaboo’s mom in Hindi, if not Sanskrit. They’re both so eccentric, they could be like Gomez and Morticia.

“More bread Please.” Vork is the best. Actually everyone is great. Codex your character is wonderfully done!

I’m pretty sure that Fawkes turned up after Zaboo texted him the directions as well. Obviously Zaboo can find anyone’s personal details, and I suppose Fawkes is playing along his role as the bf. The question is what does he want in exchange for his services and if Codex and Zaboo will eventually get together

This episode so far in the season was the most boring. However, the cliffhanger at the end with Vork was funny. So far good season though keep it up.

OOOOOHHHHH Once again, “Curse you Wil Wheaton!!!” Now I have to wait for the next episode to find out how…why…whaaa you are doing at Zaboo’s mom’s b-day…and….and… it’s so unfair to tease Codex!(yes, I know, she secretly loves it….)

yes earlier in season when codex tries to get fawkes to continue going out with her he relieses that the guild starts to turn into chaos with the fact that they are dating and he tries to use that to destroy the knights of good.

Felicia was not a main character of Buffy. She was a potential slayer on the last season…there were under 10 of them living in the house. Only Kennedy got the most face time as a potential slayer.

Okay, and dork time over.

Felicia Day was one of the potentials in the last season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Vi was her name. She was one of the first to show up and lasted til the last episode where I belive she gets whacked by an uber-vamp right at the end. She also was the main focal point in the Season 1 and series finale of another Wheadon masterpiece Dollhouse. Her work in that show, albeit brief, was awesome.

I love Fawkes so much. Nothing hotter than a bad guy in a kilt.

Actually, that was Amanda who dies at the end. Vi does make it through the final battle. She’s on the school bus at the end helping patch people up. One of my favorite parts of the last episode is when Vi says something like “These guys are dust” and starts fighting. You’re so bad ass Felicia!

Ditto the other comments saying that Felicia Day was most definitely NOT a “main character” in BtVS. The two female leads in Buffy (Buffy and Willow) were played by Sarah Michelle Geller and Alyson Hannigan, respectively.

Felicia Day did, however, play the lead in a different Joss Whedon “series”: Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, which may be what the original poster was thinking of. It’s a series with three episodes that Joss did, apparently to overcome his boredom during the writer’s strike. Extremely good show – highly recommended for anybody who likes The Guild and/or anything by Joss.

As entertained as I was by this episode, my mind was focused on one thing…. I WANT Clara’s necklace!

whoever was behind the jinx sposorship is great now I can watch my favorite web series and check out my favorite clothing line at the same time.

If you need to exclude some episodes, then this one would be a perfect choice (sorry!).
Every episode involving ‘the other guild’ weaken the script.
It could be that I just don’t like Wil Wheaton, well but his lack of actining skills is probably to blame for it, not me. He appeared in ‘Big Bang Theory’, and was just as weak. I htink he basically just plays himself – a looser with overdevaloped ego.
You probably won’t listen to me, Felicia, but if you will – PLEASE tie up all loose ends involving Wil Wheaton’s character and never never give him an opportunity to come back to The Guild and derail it.

LOVE this episode! It feels like the season is finally hitting it’s stride. The quick wit and banter is on par with the first season and talk about quotable… Well that floods my poop deck, too!

LOL this is funny since Wil is only in, what, 3 seconds of this episode and somehow that ruins the entire episode? The only fault I can think of in this episode is the lack of Clara’s kids randomly eating something combustable or potentially dangerous!

I absolutely loved this episode:) Interaction between Bladezz and Codex is really great in this season, it’s just so amusing to watch.

I love all the episodes and series! i used to play W.o.W but i had to quit…. hopefully ill get to play again tho! and also i know you werent ask for advice but personally i prefer the hour long “seasons” more than the five minute things. but i know these take a while to make and you probably have outsides lives.

you know what, I used to think exactly the same way but then I realised I don’t even know the guy. Know him before you judge him. Not saying I know him, just do some research at least before you post negative comments.

Is it weird that watching “The Guild” makes me want to start playing WoW? I played an MMORPG years ago, but got bored after a while, yet The Guild kinda makes we wanna go back to gaming >_<

I think you missed the point i was trying to make (clearly not successfuly). It’s not that Wil by appearing ruins anything. Just as he couldn’t spoil the excellent Big Bang Theory. But I do believe that all the parts of the script involving ‘the other guild’ are particulary weak. Even the ones that don’t feature Wil, well.. I think they all do.
However, whilst The Guild is excellent almost every second of each episonde, when it’s not – thats the episode with Wil in it. Hence my suggestion to wrap that part up and move on.

Some people were meant to be actors, but most were not. Sadly Wil clearly belongs to the latter. And it has nothing to do with me liking him or not. I don’t need to develop a relationship with him. Sure I don’t know him, so what?
And those ‘negative comments’ are actually called constructive criticism. I posted them because I am a great fan of The Guild and I want them to entertain me for many episodes to come.
Wil wrote a book? OMG he’s trying to discover where his talent lies. I will not be interested in reading it. I have a great number of much more interesting things to do

Actually… Wil is a horrible actor. He cant play any role except for the no emotion, just talk with a monotone voice reading a script, roles. He ruined the episode of BBT and I only check The Guild monthly instead of daily ever since he joined, he ruins everything he touches, sure he was the best for that role, but thats because hes the only person we can think of that matches that role. If people auditioned someone else would definately be better. I miss the first season it was the best. 1st and 3rd but without Wil this wouldve had another season in it… Too bad. and Pattie how do you know he is a cool person? Because you read the blog that he payed someone else to post? iWin?

Wesley Crusher is so not awesome. That character made me want to gouge his eyes out pretty much every time he showed up on TNG…. and I was only six when the series came out. I WOULD like to know what blind palsied Grandma was knitting all those horrid sweaters though.

I don’t care if he is the best person on the planet (doubt that very much, cos any actor which actually can act seems better) I think the script featuring the other guild is visibly worse from the rest. If I had to guess I’d say some sponsoring executive asked Felicia for a favour by finding a place for Wil in the series. That doesnt help the script or anyone else working on the series.
And doesnt make any difference how cool Wil might be, or how nice, or how rich. All irrelevant. I have no feeling either way about him as a person. I simply don’t care and dont see why I should either.
True I concentrated my criticism on him beause imo he simply fails whever he shows up, and The Guild would be much better without him and without the part of the script which involves him and his guildmates

zaboo is my fav character but i used to like codex a whole lot but then she started to get super self absorbed only really cared about what would happen to codex if she did something but im sure at the end zaboo and codex will be together at the end thats my biggest hope cant wait till tommorow for the new episode man its gonna be great i just know it!! love u guys keep up the good work darion out….

There’a also stuff guy who plays Vork has done besides being Vork. He was in an episode of Drew Carrie for example and had to take a drug test.

The part you quoted was a conclusion. I saw him in Big Bang Theory (2 episodes I think) and and that he was the same person as he ‘plays’ in The Guild. Because he can’t act he is just himself. Now, do we agree that the character he plays in both The Guild & BBT is a looser with overinflated ego?

One more thing – after ST:TNG I’ve seen Wil having 2 cameo roles in Big Bang Theory and in The Guild. Not exactly a successful career, is it?
So that is where the ‘loser’ part comes in. Look at Keanu Reeves, for example. Also a poor actor, and imo with similar loos, but a huge success.
So I feel justified calling him a loser without personally knowing him or his other accomplishments.

Actually I thought Wil was a fine addition to ST:TNG.
I didn’t like Twilight at all. Read first book, saw first movie. They were ok. Never managed to progress past page 50 of the second book. Don’t intend to watch any more Twilight either.
But I would like to recommend a great book series about Vampires – by Darren Shan First volume is called Cirque Du Freak. Don’t waste your time on the movie tho’ – it’s rubbish.
I feel a bit guilty about starting this debate. And I am tired of it. So I shall refrain fro any further comments

Actually, if you ever saw Will at a con, sat down for a chat with him, or read his blog (1st REAL blogger – really no lie), you would see he is nothing like the douche bag character he plays in The Guild. He’s actually really funny, stand-up comic funny, and really a pretty great guy. And, while a fan of STNG, I was NOT a fan of Will back then.

He didn’t go there but he stopped short just enough for us to imagine what he could do for Codex.
