Announcing: Lil’ Guildies

We were saving this announcement for tomorrow’s Comic book signing at Golden Apple Comics, but this inadvertently got leaked via our YouTube Channel and then picked up by the web tv news site Tubefilter.tv.  Yes, ‘The Guild’ is moving into animation.  This is one of the new projects that has been in development from Knights of Good, as has been  mentioned in several interviews. Especially exciting is that the animation studio that approached The Guild intends on bringing it to Saturday mornings as a half-hour program.

We’ll post more details as soon as we are allowed to (or as soon as we make another mistake that leaks top secret project info!), but for now, you can read Jenni Powell’s exclusive write up on Tubefilter, watch the opening credits sequence on YouTube, and discuss the new development in Guild Chat or on our discussion boards.  Here’s the clip:

Special thanks to the fabulous Paul and Storm (website, twitter) who created the theme song and Greg Aronowitz (blog, twitter) who is leading the project.  Behind the scenes photo below of Greg working on the animation.

Thanks,

The Guild Management

I deeply hope this is real. If so its bringing World Of Warcraft, and MMOs in general to a whole new group of future gamers. Of course theyd be Newlets BUT Their monthly subscriptions would ensure World of Warcraft lasting longer with new and more exciting expansions for years to come. And it brings in a whole new Guild fan base.

Yes, for some reason Blades is a fetus, LOL

    • Posted April 1, 2010 at 1:20 pm | Permalink

Bladez = fetus because he’s way younger than everyone else, so he wouldn’t be “baby Bladez”, he’d be fetus Bladez

Ahh, but Vork is (probably) older then the others, so why does he the same age in this video?

In addition, isn’t Tink only a few years older than Bladez?

Bladez is in high school Tink is in med school, so at the very least she has four years on him. More than likely its more than that because Bladez is far too…well whiney to be later half of his high school career. More manboy than man.

Actually, I’m pretty sure Tink is pre-med at “not at all UCLA this is an imaginary college!”, I’ve always placed her as around 20–however Vince I believe was hired under the age of 18 whereas Amy is just playing young, so she seems like more than 4-5 years older than him.

Fetal Bladezz is so creepy. I’m glad this isn’t real because I would have nightmares.

I really hope there’s gonna be “I just pooped my chainmail” Lil’ Guildies tees and bumperstickers!

      I’d buy one!

I’d totally buy “i pooped my chainmail” stuff. Imagine seeing a little toddler at the mall with a shirt that says “I pooped my chainmail” awwww. Better yet, not imagine a full grown man wearing a shirt that says “I pooped my chainmail” It’s a winner either way!!!

embryonic Bladezz is making trouble again
    and Vork has a monkey
    a wa ho ho

    lol.
This is actually quite perfect. You see, I was thinking about what trouble embryonic Bladezz could be causing on drums, and it occurred to me that there was no information as to whether Vork had an armed pet. But the next line, sure enough, delivered exactly what I was looking for. Vork has a monkey. A wa ho ho.
