I watch because most weeks it is the bright spot to my week. It makes me feel at home even though I live half way around the world from home. I watch no matter what even when it takes like 3 hours to loadload (my internet here is horrible so that is most weeks).

    I watch because — I wanna be in your guild: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtCe_hp-EIk ;)

I watch The Guild because I love the way the characters think. They are all very different but go well together. So watch out when they unite!
The plot is also fun! I hope to write a successful something too one day.

And because of Tink ofc!!!!!! ^^

I watch the guild cus it takes me back to how me and my friends acted with each other in high school playing dnd. I miss those days so much and the guild brings me back to that time in life.

I recently found the Web Series through looking up Felicia Day after falling in love (not literally and in a non-gay way) with her on Eureka. I laughed my ass off after watching season 1 and was hooked, watched all 4 seasons on my phone through you tube then had to switch to the computer for season 5. The characters are well written and easily identifiable, and certainly well acted, and as the seasons progress and the funding increases, I see that the show grows in creativity. I am nail-biting for news of a new season. Keep up the good work! (and you should get an advertising kick-back from WoW since I broke down and got an account when i ran out of episodes to watch!)

I watch The Guild because I think it’s funny and I can relate being the addictive gamer I am. I’ve made all my friends watch it and they love it. I also think Felicia Day is amazing and adorable. Will there be a 6th season?

Reasons Why I Watch The Guild:
    *I play MMOs
    *It’s funny
*I can relate to the characters – I’m a mix between Codex and Tink, and have met many people much like these characters online
*source of my discovering The Guild – Avatar was a featured video on youtube (love the song, bought it on iTunes) -> link in description :D

Why I watch The Guild – it started partly because my ex showed it to me and it was awesome, but also in part because of Felecia Day ~ I’ve also played Ultima from 1 thru 8 (5 and 6 arguably the best) which was just cool, and am an avid gamer, writer, (and designer) – but aside from some similarities – the scripting is delightfully refreshing, manic, real (in an off-kilter kind of way), and beautifully acted. I rarely follow any series for long – I lose interest. But, The Guild keeps me coming back for more – it plays upon a fantastical, yet plausible, reality. Of everything I’ve encountered to-date, online, only Dr Horrible’s Sing-along Blog holds a candle to this series. Each character I can readily liken to an IRL or IG friend, and the stereo-types rival any good anime. Felecia Day, and all the actors and friends you work with on this series, may your future conclusion of this series leave a marked legacy for any who follow as a bar for many to strive to overcome.

I watch the guild because its so funny, and so true. To understand your jokes you have to be a gamer, and I am one. I often see myself in Codex because I’m a gamer girl too. I knew exactly what it’s like to wait for a new addon, be on a convention and do nerdy stuff with my guild. This is why I love watching the guild and I hope there will be a 6th season!
    Every character is so important!
I knew what it’s like when the game become a part of your life, even if it sounds ridiculous!
I’m a very big fan of The Guild!

Very often as a female gamer I am made to feel like I should in some be ashamed of my passion and enjoyment of this form of escapist entertainment. Watching ‘The Guild’ and being aware of what a huge following it has makes me consider the possibility that I am not a total freak and that we are many. It’s strangely comforting to know that gaming is enjoyed by people from all walks of life, from all social castes, from the deeply socially inept to the out and out cool and popular people. Bring on the next season!

Most of you all know about the mmorpg World of Warcraft or WoW. I just so happen to play that game. Watching this tv series makes me feel like I can get away from real life and just sit down and watch something that relates to who I am. Felicia Day has created something amazing that millions of us “nerds” probably watch every day. I’m glad I was able to find this series due to a friend who introduced it to me. It has been an awesome experience watching it and can’t wait for season 6 to come out. Gonna rule.

I’m not a gamer, but I am a nerd. The instant I saw Ms Day talking to her webcam I was hooked by her manner and charm. The series has that authentic aroma of cheese while still being able to entertain. Few, more polished works in mainstream media are able to command my attention as well as the cunningly wrought “The Guild”. Kudos to Ms. Day and may she continue to command her well-deserved audience.

By the way, do check out Dragon Age Remembrance for a different side of Red.

Although I do not play any of the rpgs, I have been a membr of Second Life for close to 5 yrs (there are a lot of rpg’s w/in SL tho) I have been an estate manager in SL for about 3 yrs, and can totally relate to the guild as my estate coworkers are pretty much the same group (we even have a “Clara” who’s had child protective srvcs called on her). I love each amd every episode, and can not wait for season 6 :)

  • Cybalicist

Love the series, it was the first I ever saw, off of xbox live in fact, when the second season hadn’t even come out. It’s really inspired me to start making my own series. Check out the first episode of my new series.

I absolutely love The Guild because I’ve practically lived it. Gaming was such a central part of my life for a number of years when I had literally nothing else to make life worth living (sounds drab, I know, but it was unforunately true).

I can relate to so many of the experiences including the over zealous older guild master who, somehow, found it so stressful managing a bunch of people having fun and the rules and regulations he felt were so important for our every day lives.

We also had the parents who had to constantly tend to their kids, which naturally got in the way of our fun. They’d be like ” I HAVE to go, gotta pick up my kids from school.” And we’d be like “screw your kids, man, we need a tank.” xD

There’d be the girly girls who just sounded so hot and then there was, of course, the mouthy dude who was just enough of an a**hole to piss people off while making the game more interesting at the same time.

In some ways, watching The Guild is a very visceral experience for me. I just wish I knew someone irl that enjoyed it as much as I did.

Awesome job Felicia Day and co. I really hope there’s a season 6 :)

Hey guys, I know it’s a month after this contest has ended, but I feel that appreciation and motivation are timeless, so here’s my video about why I watch The Guild. Keep up the phenomenal work–I love it! Shoutout to Mr. Wheaton at the end ;)
